Elgin City finished the season with their worst performance of the season to allow Stenhousemuir to leapfrog them into fifth place.
Teenager Robert Love scored the first of a hat-trick early on when the home team failed to deal with a through ball, and sub Steven Ferguson's speculative lob from the centre circle made it two.
Jason Crooks got one back with a good low finish but Love volleyed another before the break and then set up Paul Tyrell for number four early in the second period.
A left foot volley by the striker ended a miserable afternoon for the Black and Whites.
