George S. Hay & Co. Insurance Brokers have won the draw for the privilege of being Elgin City's main shirt sponsor for this forthcoming season. They were picked from a hat containing 34 other companies and individuals who paid £500 each to enter. George S Hay & Co. already sponsor an advertising board on the hill behind the Lossie Green end goals.

Due to supply problems, Elgin City have changed kit manufacturers for the forthcoming season. The new kits will be made by Hummel and will be launched at the first home game of season against Montrose on Saturday 11th August. It's expected that the club will have them on sale to supporters at that game. Impressions of all three kits are below, click on an image to see a larger size:

Meanwhile, Elgin have been drawn away against Ross County in the 1st Round of the CIS Cup. The game will be played on Tuesday 7th August and the kick off is 7.45pm. Incidentally, City play County in a friendly this coming Saturday, 21st July, at Borough Briggs. Kick-off is 3pm.

ELGIN CITY 0 ICT 3

City hosted the Caley Thistle first team squad this evening at Borough Briggs in their first pre-season friendly. In the end, the SPL side were three nil winners but Elgin were a bit unlucky with a deflected Barry Wilson free kick in the first half and caught on the hop with a Rankin effort, seconds after the break. Richie Hart later beat the City defence for speed and he tucked it away under on-loan keeper Joe Malin, who despite the scoreline, had a superb game and prevented a rout with a string of great saves.
