Elgin picked up their first victory against Dumbarton at Strathclyde Homes Stadium with an emphatic 4 - 1 victory.
Craig Frizzel started the scoring after only 30 seconds after a mistake by Crawford in the Sons goal. Martin Charlesworth made it 2 - 0 with a penalty after 32 minutes, and the young on form striker made it 4 in two games for himself with his second of the game just on the stroke of half time.
And when Ross O'Donoghue made it 4 - 0 after 52 minutes Elgin were on easy street. Though Tommy Coyne pulled one back from the penalty spot after 61 minutes, it was City who went home with the 3 points, to keep them in the race for the play off spot.
