Ross Campbell 47 Gibson 84 |
Two goals in the second half by Forfar sent City to the bottom of the Third Division today at Borough Briggs.
After a cagey first-half, the visitors took the lead just after the interval, when James Bishop's hopeful long ball found Ross Campbell, who made no mistake from just inside the area. City should have restored parity immediately, but Gavin Morrison saw his penalty saved by Alistair Brown. They continued to press for an equaliser until they were hit with the sucker-punch in the 84th minute. Ross Campbell tricked his way down the right-wing before finding Graham Gibson, who finished the game off. The result moves the Loons to within four points of second-placed East Stirling with a game in hand.
