 Defender Allan Dempsie has left Elgin City to join Ayr United. In a move which sees him play in the Second Division next season, it ends a spell at Borough Briggs in which he was one of City's most consistent players. We wish him well in his step up to a higher division.

 Elgin City are proud to announce that Hanson & Robertson Insurance are to be their new shirt sponsor for season 2008/09. They replace George S. Hay & Co. Glenfarclas Distillery have also renewed their shorts sponsorship.
As well as a new sponsor, City have unveiled a new 'diva' blue away top as pictured on the left. Click on the image to see a larger version of it.

 Zander Sutherland scooped the Supporters' Player of the Year as well as the Young Player of the Year in the end of season awards on Saturday night. Ross O'Donoghue received the Players' Player of the Year as voted by the team.
