Brechin cruised into the second round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup with a comfortable victory over City, a disappointing follow up to the previous Saturday's cup tie.
Rory McAllister drilled in strikes either side of the half time interval to give Brechin the advantage, then Kevin Byers then scored from a tight angle after Charlie King had played an inviting ball across goal.
Sean McKenna side-footed home a pass from the impressive McAllister to wrap things up for the 2nd Division outfit and send Elgin home and out of the League Cup
