Manager-less Elgin City are now ten points adrift at the foot of the 3rd Division table after a 2-0 defeat by Berwick today.
The visitors grabbed the lead when Darren Gribben collected the ball on the edge of the box and fired home after 12 minutes.
Gribben sent another effort crashing against the post before slotting home from close range.
He missed a chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot.
