AN experienced striker and a promising young defender have become manager Ross Jack's latest captures.

The City boss has snapped up former Aberdeen, Inverness Caley Thistle, Hearts, St Mirren, Queen of the South and Dumbarton goalscorer Dennis Wyness from Peterhead on a year's deal.

Joining the 35-year-old hitman is Montrose's ex-St Mirren defender Sean Crichton (22), who has signed a two-year contract.

The pair join Dundee's on-loan keeper John Gibson at Borough Briggs ahead of the new season, alongside 10 of the players who helped the Black and Whites end last term with a promotion play-off slot.
